Timothy's enthusiasm and ability for sailing dwindles after about an hour when he starts to get cold. He usually wears a full length wetsuit and a jumper.

What do other people wear to keep warm?

Hi David.

I have a few layers that I can add or remove depending on the day. On a very windy, cold day i will wear:

Top: Life jacket (always on top in case you need to be rescued) > Spray jacket > rashy > long sleeve wetty top > long sleeve thermals.

Bottom: wetsuit material long pants (go up to waste) > Zhik hiking pads > Boots.

I usually wear the same bottom half in all wind conditions (without the pads) because boardies get caught on things. But top half, first to go is spray jacket, then thermals. I always wear my long sleeved wetty top in all conditions to keep the sun off me. Need to make sure you have a water bottle though.
