About Me

Hi, I am the Dad of Rosie (2001), Matilda (2004) and Tessa (2006).  We own AUS 70597, Lollyhead.  It is hoped that I will sail with all the Girls before they sail on their own/with mates etc.  Our next goal is to compete in Ireland, Rosie as crew with a friend Kieran and me sailing with Matilda.  When we are not sailing Mirrors I sail Etchells and we all sail a Catalina 34 Mk II, which we love.  We are all members of Dunsborough Bay Yacht Club.

About Me

Photo of Margot and I in Wales for the 2009 Worlds

I'm an old Salt, love the sea, love sailing. Love sailing mirrors they are one of the most honest boats you can sail. A great boat. I have enjoyed it immensely teaching my 3 children to sail in the mirror. The mirror taken me and the family to many interesting places and we have made many freinds along the way. 6 national championships and 2 worlds, it been the best journey for me and my family. Whilst I don't what to go on about me?? But one of the highlights for me was to travel to Wales in Great Britain to compete in the 2009 Worlds and to be on the start line with 109 boats and your youngest son crewing and your older son out there too battling it out with top flight sailors, was a real buzz. Winning this year's Nationals also would have to rate as great moment for myself and family.

I sailed mirrors in Adelaide in the 70's and 80's, and travelled with my family to several national vhapionships including Nedlands in 79/80. Lots of great memories!

About Me

Not much about me -- built a mirror dinghy with my dad when i was a kid back in 1969.  I wanted to let folks know that I have the sails and rigging for sail on ebay -- they have been in dry storage for 35  + years and are in excellent shape
